Documented Backflow Testing and Repair in Santa Ana, CA

One downtown parcel can carry a restaurant's domestic service, an upstairs office and a fire line added during a later remodel, each with its own assembly. Across Santa Ana, from Calle Cuatro storefronts to south side plants, we do backflow testing on every device on the property, repair the ones that fail, and file the results so the annual notice gets closed out.

Every assembly on the parcel

Old buildings, newer assemblies, one clean record

Downtown's early 20th century buildings were plumbed for uses long since replaced, so their backflow assemblies tend to arrive piecemeal: one with a restaurant conversion, another when a fire line went in, a third for planters out front. Owners often call us for drain cleaning on a kitchen line and only then learn a supply-side assembly is overdue for its test. We start by finding and tagging every device on the parcel, then test each one.

That inventory becomes the record. Each assembly gets its type, size, location and result logged, and passing results are filed with the water district. When a building sells or a new tenant takes a suite, the next manager inherits a clear list instead of guessing which device protects which line, and who last tested it.

Why VeriTech for backflow testing & repair in Santa Ana

Every device found and listed

Older downtown parcels can tuck an assembly in a below-grade box, a back alley or a mechanical closet. We locate and list each one, so no device goes untested because nobody knew it was there.

Process feeds in the industrial south

Plants in the south of the city may feed rinse tanks, boilers or mixing equipment from the potable supply. We test the assemblies guarding those connections and plan shutoffs around production.

A paper trail for public buildings

Facility managers around the Civic Center answer to agencies that expect documentation. Every test produces a dated record by device, ready for an auditor or a county, state or federal facilities file.

Rebuild before you replace

A failed test usually points to a worn check, spring or seal, not a dead assembly. Where parts are available we rebuild and retest, and recommend replacement only when the body itself is finished.

How it works

One call, one accountable team. Here's exactly what to expect.

01

Locate & tag each assembly

We walk the parcel, find every backflow device on fire, irrigation, domestic and process lines, and tag each one so the record matches what is actually installed.

02

Test, then rebuild if needed

A certified tester runs each assembly through its test. Any device that fails is repaired or rebuilt and retested before we leave, wherever parts allow.

03

File & set next year

We file the passing results with the water district, send you a copy organized by device, and set a reminder ahead of next year's due date.

We needed our plumbing fixed and took a chance with this company… IM SO GLAD I DID!! I never leave reviews but they left no room for improvement. Luis was extremely helpful and explained any questions I had! They were priced extremely well and very fair. I would HIGHLY recommend and will continue to go with them 10/10 times.

Santa Ana Backflow Testing & Repair FAQs

Still unsure about something? Call (714) 715-3315 and ask. We're happy to talk it through.

  • That usually comes down to the leases, not the plumbing. What we can do is tag every assembly, note which service and which suite it protects, and hand the owner a list by device. With that in hand, the owner and tenants can match each assembly to the responsible party instead of arguing over an unlabeled valve in the alley.

  • Rubber checks, springs and seals wear with every pressure swing, and debris stirred up by main work or an upstream repair can lodge in a valve seat. Neither shows from the outside. A failed test is often a parts problem, so we rebuild the assembly, retest it and file the passing result rather than replacing the whole unit.

  • Often, yes. Connections that could push chemicals, rinse water or boiler water back toward the supply are generally treated as higher hazard, and the water district sets which assembly type it requires. We test what is installed, tell you if it does not appear to match the hazard, and quote a replacement if the district calls for a different type.

  • Mostly. Each test needs a brief shutoff on the line downstream of that one assembly, not the whole building. We coordinate timing with building management, and for fire line assemblies we work with whoever monitors the fire alarm system so a test does not trigger an unexpected dispatch.

  • Schedule the test as soon as you can and keep any notice the water district sent. We test each assembly, repair or rebuild any that fail, and file the passing results with the district so the overdue item can be closed. Then we set a reminder so next year's date does not slip by again.
