Shared-Lateral Hydro Jetting in Huntington Beach, CA

The nail salon at the far end of a Beach Blvd strip center often floods first, even though it never sends grease down a drain. Three kitchens upstream share its sewer lateral, and their grease settles where the flow slows. Across Huntington Beach, hydro jetting clears those shared lines from the first kitchen branch to the street, so one tenant stops absorbing everyone else's buildup.

One lateral, many kitchens

Clean the whole shared line, not just one drain

In most multi-tenant centers the problem first arrives as an emergency plumbing call from a tenant who did nothing wrong: water rising out of a salon floor drain or a retail restroom at the downstream end of the building. Cabling that one drain punches a hole and leaves the rest of the run lined with grease. Hydro jetting drives a rotating high-pressure nozzle through the full shared lateral, scouring grease and scale off the entire pipe wall from the upstream kitchens to the street connection.

Before any water goes in, we camera the line to confirm it can take the pressure and to map where each tenant ties in. Afterward, a second pass shows the property manager a clean wall and, often, which branch was feeding the most grease. That footage is what lets an owner set a jetting interval for the center and raise the issue with the tenant actually causing it.

Why VeriTech for hydro jetting in Huntington Beach

Downstream tenants stop flooding

When the shared lateral is scoured end to end, the salon, insurance office or retail shop at the bottom of the line stops being the place where three restaurants' grease comes back up.

Footage that shows whose grease it is

The camera pass records how much buildup sits in each tenant branch, so a property manager can take the problem to the kitchen responsible instead of treating it as a center-wide mystery.

Done before the center opens

We jet after the last kitchen at a Beach Blvd center or near Bella Terra has closed for the night, so shoppers and diners arrive the next morning to restrooms and sinks that drain.

Process residue off industrial pipe

Aerospace and manufacturing buildings in the city's industrial areas send metal fines, scale and coolant residue into trench drains. Jetting lifts that film off the pipe wall during a planned shutdown window.

How it works

One call, one accountable team. Here's exactly what to expect.

01

Map the shared line

We run a camera through the lateral, mark where each tenant branch ties in, and check the pipe material and joints before deciding it can take jetting pressure.

02

Jet branch & lateral

With nozzle and pressure matched to the pipe, we scour each kitchen branch and the shared run, flushing loosened grease toward the street connection instead of leaving it in a branch.

03

Show the result & set timing

A second camera pass confirms a clean wall. You get the footage, and we recommend the next visit based on how heavy each branch was this time.

Huntington Beach Hydro Jetting FAQs

Still unsure about something? Call (714) 715-3315 and ask. We're happy to talk it through.

  • Water backs up at the lowest open drain on the line. When grease from upstream restaurants narrows the shared lateral, the overflow often surfaces in a floor drain or restroom belonging to a salon or shop near the end of the run. Clearing that one drain brings relief for a while, but the grease upstream stays until the whole lateral is jetted.

  • Usually, yes. The camera records each branch where it joins the shared lateral, and a branch carrying heavy grease looks very different from one that is nearly clean. We note the tie-in locations and buildup in the footage. What the property manager does with that, such as interceptor maintenance requests or lease conversations, is their call.

  • We do not run full pressure through a section that is cracked, separated or collapsed, because jetting can make the damage worse. We clear what we safely can, mark the defect's location in the footage, and quote the repair separately. Once the line is repaired, it can go on a regular jetting schedule.

  • Yes. Floor and trench drains in the city's industrial buildings collect metal fines, scale and process residue that a cable passes straight through. Jetting scours the full pipe wall and flushes that material out. Let us know what your process sends down the drain when you request a quote, and we will plan the visit around a shutdown or shift change.

  • Not necessarily. A busy kitchen branch may need attention more often than the shared lateral it feeds, and a center with mostly retail tenants may need less. We compare footage from visit to visit and adjust each line's interval to the buildup we actually see, rather than putting the whole property on one calendar.
